Sauly Update!

Hey everyone! I’ve been really busy the past couple of months, so I thought it was about time I updated my site, and let you guys know what i’ve been up too!

Earlier this year, I rode the Crusty Demons capital cities tour of Australia. I had to sit out the New Zealand tour with a broken ankle, so I was pumped to get back out there. The Crusty events are always awesome to ride at, the crowds go absolutely crazy and its always a good show. I also enjoy the tour as I get to travel the country with my best friends and do what I love to do the most and ride every day!

Since the tour finished I spent a little bit of time relaxing at home on the Gold Coast before packing my bags to ride an FMX demo in Asuncion in Paraguay.

My time in Paraguay (south America) started off with about 10 hours of delayed flights on the way over wich the airports somehow lost my bags twice. So i didn’t get my clothes bag till the next night and i didn’t get my bike parts till the day of the show and everything was just a big rush; it wasn’t the way I wanted to start my first ride in South America, then when it was show time it started raining heavily!

I headed home after only about 15 minutes riding, only to return four days later! This time the flights were sweet so i was stoked. Everything was set up all ready. It started raining again part way through the show but the track crew all got into it and put carpet on the lander so we could still ride. One show ended up turning into Three.

The promoters for the show and all the guys in Asuncion were amazing to work for and hang out with, they looked after me so much it made me feel like i was at home.  The Asuncion Crowd was one of the best if not the best I’ve ridin in front of! cause they hadn’t really seen too much of freestyle before and they are now massive fans. I recieved an email when i arrived home from a family over there saying they seen the show and their kids went home and drew pictures for hours of me doing tricks; they said that seeing what i do gives them hope in life and to do great things with their lifes. If that isn’t one of the biggest rewards from riding i dont know what is.

All up  i think it was over 50 hours of flying in 3 weeks and i still cant wait to go back there, I had that much fun.

Towards the end of July, I decided it was time time for a holliday, so I packed my bags and headed off to LA to watch the x games. It was fun not having to ride so i could just relax and hang out with the boys. they were long days so we were pretty tired by the end of each day so we didn’t do to much during the nights. After x games we cought up with a few aussie boys and did what we do when we’re on holidays. We had a ball! ;)

Definately a highlight for me was seeing my good friend Bilko take gold in the X Games FMX competition. It was unbeleavable and he also achieved silver in the big air, he is one Mad Dog.

Finally I headed off to vegas to end my holiday, I’m sorry but I cant tell you too much about that cause what happens in vegas stays in vegas! haha yew

Well last week I got back home to the Gold Coast to get myself organised to do some more riding and training. I’m going to get to work and try and learn a few new tricks. As soon as I have some fresh videos, I’ll put them up here for you to see!

Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave me a comment!

SAULY RETURNS FROM ANKLE INJURY THIS WEEKEND

MEDIA RELEASE - KAIN SAUL TO RETURN FROM ANKLE INJURY THIS WEEKEND

Current Australasian Freestyle Motocross (FMX) Champion Kain Saul will return to the performance arena this weekend since breaking his ankle on Australia Day weekend in January.

Saul underjumped the Ramp To Ramp steel setup, performing for the Yamaha Showtime FMX Team in Mulwala NSW, badly breaking his right ankle. Unfortunately for Saul this meant sitting out many events so far this year, including the entire Crusty Demons Tour of New Zealand.

After ten solid weeks of rehabilitation work, Saul will make his return this Friday (May 15) when the Crusty Demons “Beyond the Apocolypse” Tour kicks off at Rod Laver Arena.

“I’m just really stoked to be back on the bike and back on tour with all my good buddies, I can’t wait to get out there and put on a show for the fans in Melbourne!” Kain Saul said.

From Melbourne this weekend the Crusty Demons “Beyond the Apocolypse” Tour continues to each of Australia’s capital cities, concluding in Perth on June 13.
